The Zoo! ~ El Zologico!

We went to the zoo in Santo Domingo on Friday. We had so much fun and learned a lot about how to care for animals. We also learned what is need to make a zoo. We also saw how much trash was at the zoo. We decided to make this our service project; to help them manage this problem. Keep watching as we make our "Australian Zoo."

El viernes fuimos al zologico en Santo Domingo. Nos divertimos mucho y aprendimos mucho acerca de como cuidar a los animales. Tambien, aprendimos que lo que se necesita para hacer un zologico. Vimos que habia mucha basura en en zologico. Decidimos que esto sera nuestro proyecto de servicio; ayudarles a manejar este problema. Busca nuestro "Zologico Australiano."

Pizza Party

Today was the pizza and ice cream party. Second grade recieved it for being the best at spelling between second and third grade. I am very proud of them. They have worked very hard this year and still are. Be on the watch for some awesome projects about Australian animals.

Hoy fue la fiesta de pizza y helado. Segundo recibio el premio por ser el curso mejor en ortografia entre segundo y tercer grado. Estoy muy orgullosa de ellos. Han trabajado muy duro en segundo grado y todavia muestran mucha esfuerza. Espera mas proyectos chulos de animales de australia.

Spelling Bee ~ Competencia de Ortografia

Last Friday was the Spelling Bee between 2nd and 3rd grade. Michelle, Franchira and Daniel were the three finalist for second grade. Michelle tied for first with David - a third grader and Franchira got second place. "My favorite part was after I won they lifted me onto thier shoulders" said Michelle. Franchira said "My favorite part was spelling the really hard words." Second grade also won for the best class spelling! I am so proud of my great spellers!

El viernes pasado fue el concurso de ortografia entre segundo y tercero. Michelle, Franchira y Daniel eran los represantes de segundo grado. Michelle impato para primer premio con David - un estudiante de tercero y Franchira gano segundo. "Mi parte favorita fue despues de que gane, cuando me levantaron en sus hombros" dijo Michelle. Franchira dijo "Mi parte favorita fue deletrear las palabras dificiles." Segundo tambien gano en la competencia de curso. Estoy muy orgullosa de mis estudiantes inteligentes!

English Drama

We did a drama for Pre-school through 6th grade. It was called Wake Up, Groundhog! It was very fun and we loved being animals for awhile.

Hicimos un drama para los niños de pre-escolar hasta sexto grado. Se llama Wake up, Groundhog! Fue muy divertido y nos gustó ser animales por un rato.
